Abu Dhabi, 21st July 2010 (WAM) -- SR Technics has signed an integrated component solutions (ICS) contract worth ?66.4m with Thomson Airways, the UK's third largest airline serving 72 destinations worldwide. Under the contract, which runs until 2015, SR Technics will provide component services for a total of 45 aircraft in the Thomson fleet; twenty nine Boeing 757 and sixteen Boeing 767.

SR Technics is part of Mubadala Aerospace's global MRO network which also includes the Middle East's largest independent MRO provider, Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT).

The component services contract encompasses exchange, maintenance, repair, logistics and component management services. An integral part of the service package is the provision of dedicated component consignment stocks and access to SR Technics' component pool stocks on a flight hour basis.

The agreement further strengthens the relationship between SR Technics and Thomson Airways. The two MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) companies are central to Mubadala Aerospace's plans to establish a global MRO network hub in Abu Dhabi that covers the entire MRO value chain including engine, component and airframe capability.

Both companies work in partnership with Mubadala Aerospace's Sanad Aero Solutions which provides leasing and management of spare components and engines to the global airline industry. Sanad Aero Solutions provides innovative opportunities for airlines to monetize existing assets, secure inventory solutions required to support fleet growth and access a broad spectrum of world class MRO and technical service solutions offered by Mubadala Aerospace's global MRO network.
