Dubai: UAE residents who work in Dubai but seek cheaper accommodation in emirates such as Sharjah and Ajman might wonder where it is best to do their shopping.
This week's list features numerous meat and fish products. UAE hammour fish was priced around the Dh29 per kilo mark in Abu Dhabi stores included in the list, compared to approximately Dh25 in Dubai. The product was priced best throughout the UAE in Carrefour's Dubai and Ajman stores.

The best price for Australian fresh boneless beef was found in Fujairah at Dh14 per kilo.
On average, prices were slightly more expensive in Abu Dhabi than Dubai or Ajman and it was a similar story for Indian fresh boneless beef.
Chilled mutton imported from Somalia was cheapest overall in the UAE's Lulu stores. But there were only minimal differences between average price in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ajman, providing limited savings opportunities for shoppers.
The best UAE price for whole chickens was Carrefour in Dubai at just Dh6.0 per kilo, cheaper than Carrefour stores elsewhere in the UAE. The store also had the best price for frozen beef burgers.
For fruit products, the list shows that Chiquita bananas imported from the Philippines are very evenly priced throughout the UAE, not producing any significant savings.
Small Indian lemons, a common purchase among local consumers, are cheapest on average in Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah.
