Product provides robust, very secure platform for businesses to manage processes and boost employee productivity
Dubai Smartworld, an ICT services provider, yesterday announced the launch of its cloud-based technology service, Smart Hosted UC which offers a singular online platform for businesses.
“As businesses and employees have increasingly becoming more mobile, there is a growing trend and demand for more service delivery over the cloud. Smart Hosted UC provides a robust and very secure platform for small and medium sized businesses to manage business processes and boost employee productivity,” said Eyad Hindiyeh, chief operating officer of Smartworld, at the launch.
“Additionally, its user friendly interface can adapt to growing business needs of the company; and giving them the advantage to remain competitive.”
Hassle-free
The service offers self-employed, small companies or individuals the convenience to sync all their communications on one platform without hassles related to owning or maintaining a company domain.
“It is suited for any company across the SME sector but so far we’re seeing a lot of interest coming from the education, airline and banking side,” Hindiyeh told Gulf News.
The service comes in two modules — standard and premium. For a monthly fee it provides a single secure platform for email, contacts, instant messaging, calendaring, file sharing and telecommunications.
The platform provides a cost efficient solution with no upfront payment and is predicted to boost productivity by 30 per cent.
Companies will be able to use Smart Hosted UC service either through their own domain, purchase a domain through Smartworld, or host it through Smartworld’s eZajil service.
“There are a lot of companies today in the UAE applying cloud computing services from abroad. As a UAE-based company people are able to store their data within in the UAE. We’re one of the first companies offering locally-based cloud computing services,” Hindiyeh said.
Cloud computing has proved popular with local businesses growing at a rate of 20 per cent each year.
Abdullah Hashim, chairman of the Smartworld board, said at the event: “Today, as every enterprise is reviewing the potential benefits of cloud computing, we are glad to introduce the Smart Hosted UC service, an excellent technology proposition for businesses in the region to increase productivity and business continuity,” said Abdulla Hashim, Chairman of the Board, Smartworld at the event.
