MINA - Security men have been deployed around Al-Jamrat area to hold up signs to guide pilgrims.

Examples of such signs are "Do not pass" or "Don't carry your luggage," said Mohammed Al-Amri, chief of one of the traffic units near Al-Jamrat Bridge.

He said using signs is more efficient than telling pilgrims or instructing them through public address system because they speak different languages.

The security forces trained the students of King Fahd Security College (KFSC) in Riyadh for this part of the awareness campaign.

We have enough knowledge of English to communicate with many pilgrims. Our stumbling block is instructing them in Urdu or Persian," said Turki Al-Naser, a KFSC student.

The Ministry of Health complemented the campaign by putting up anti-smoking banners in English, Urdu and Arabic throughout the site.

Signs against reusing shaving razors were posted in different parts of Mina, two days before Dhu Al-Hijja 10, when pilgrims go to barbershops.
