Dubai: Shotokan Japanese sport centre won the fourth international Friendship Karate Cup 2007 in Limassol, Cyprus which was held from July 25 to 29 for the second year in a row.

The team won all their encounters in Kata and Kumite, and they proved their presence in the international field of martial arts.

The winning team returned to the UAE with 18 medals.

Najmeddin Al Haddad won the gold medal in Kata and gold medal in Kumite.

Najmeddin who is also known as the 'Canadian Scorpion' arrived to Limassol the same day of the championship coming from Korea where he joined World K-1 Championship and won by 'Knockout' against his Korean challenger.

Mohammad Sanad won the bronze medal in Kata. Emad Abu Shanab won gold in Kata and the silver medal in Kumite.

Bara Saad won gold in Kata and silver in Kumite.

Alaa Abu Shanab took gold in Kata and the bronze in Kumite.

Jamal Hamada secured the silver medal in Kata and the silver medal in Kumite. Nasser Hamada took the bronze in Kata and also the bronze in Kumite.

Ameen Abu Shanab won bronze in Kata and bronze in Kumite.

Hussam Arafat took the silver medal in Kata and the silver in Kumite.

Lukas Bely won the silver in Kata.
