SALALAH -- Coinciding with the celebration of the Khareef Festival, the management team of Shell Oman Marketing Company had organised an award ceremony for the owners of service stations in Dhofar. The ceremony took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel here on July 19. Several government officials, service stations owners, and members of the management team from Shell Oman were present at the function. Also in attendance were members of the company's retail team, who are in charge of marketing Shell products through the retail network in the Sultanate. "This ceremony in appreciation for the extremely commendable efforts of the dealers, and their contribution to the sales growth during the first half of this year," said Irshad Al Lawati, managing director of Shell Oman, as he distributed the awards.
Irshad Al Lawati praised the outstanding performance of the service stations, especially following the launch of Shell Super and Regular petrol with the 'Better Mileage' formula in Dhofar at the beginning of the year. The management team, accompanied by members of the retail team, had earlier also visited a number of service stations in Salalah.
The aim of the visit was to assess the level of customer service provided to motorists at the service stations. During the visit, the management team spoke directly to customers, provided them with the regular services and responded to their queries. The team devoted particular attention to raising customer awareness on safety practices while refuelling their vehicles like turning off the engine, not smoking and turning off mobile phones. "This visit, in particular, reflects Shell Oman's endeavour to be continuously in touch with customers wherever they are, and to exceed their expectations in terms of the quality of service at every Shell service station".
