MUSCAT -- Shell Oman opened its 125th service station at Wajaja, on the Oman-UAE border next to Hatta, and its 126th service station at Wadi Bahais, next to Seeb Market. The new, state-of-the-art service station at Wadi Bahais was launched on May 24. During the inauguration, the service station received an overwhelming response with a large number of motorists visiting the facility.
The event included a cultural Omani dance performance, cake-cutting ceremony and refreshments for all. "We assure fulfilment of the expectations of our customers through this important site," said Faisal al Hashar, Managing Director, Shell Oman Marketing Co. Strategically located, the new service station provides a range of services to motorists, including a Shell Select Convenience Store.
It is designed in line with Shell's new branding guidelines. With the expansion of the network of Shell service stations and renovation of the existing sites under way, the new look will now be visible at an increasing number of locations. To mark the occasion, a special draw was held for customers who shopped for RO 1 and more at the Shell Select on the site. This 'Shop & Win' promotion includes RO 1,000 in cash as the first prize, a 42'' LCD television and Sony PlayStation 3.
"This remarkable event was a result of the cooperation and commitment of our Retail team and the owner of the station. It's a matter of great pride for every member of our team to be able to serve the people living in and around Wadi Bahais," said Kit Bermudez, Retail Sales and Operations Manager at Shell Oman.
