Sharjah, July 20th, 2010 (WAM) -- H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah has approved half a million Dhs for the acquisition of 38 written works presented in the fourth session of the Sharjah Art Forum for Arabic calligraphy and Islamic ornamentation held in Sharjah from April 7 to June 7, 2010.
This approval comes in support of the Arabic calligraphy and honours its originators from all Arab, Islamic and Western countries, the continuity of Art journey, and highlights the Arab and Islamic identity all over the world. The head of the Directorate of Art in the Cultural and Information Department in Sharjah, Hisham Al Madhloum said that the Art works have been dedicated to Government institutions in Sharjah.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2010.
