Abu Dhabi, June 3rd,2008(WAM)--The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has announced the death of Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who died last night when the helicopter plane carrying him and his colleagues crashed over Gulf Waters.
In a statement, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced a three-day mourning period.
Funeral prayers for Sheikh Nasser and his colleagues will be performed at the Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Mosque in Al Bateen. President Sheikh Khalifa will receive condolences today at Al Mushrif Palace after the funeral service.Work to continue in all Government Ministries as normal
During the period of mourning on the occasion of the death yesterday of Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan, work in all Government departments and in the rest of the public sector and in the private sector will continue as normal, and there will be no closure of offices, it has been announced by an authorised source at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
The source added: 'the Ministry of Presidential Affairs has announced three days of official mourning for Sheikh Nasser and for his colleagues (Peace Be Upon Them). Offices in the Government, public and private sectors will continue to work as normal'.'
