Abu Dhabi, 6th Sept. 2012 (WAM) -- More than 5,000 athletes participated in the grand sports day organised by the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Secondary and Technical School in Mombasa, Kenya, under the theme ''We are all Khalifa'' to mark its 30th anniversary.
In August 1982, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and former president Daniel Arap Moiof Kenya laid the foundation stone of the school, which stands today as a symbol of good will and friendship between the two countries.. The Sports and entertainment festival was attended by a number of Kenyan officialsand Chairman of Board of Governors Sheikh Hamaad Qasim Al Mazrui. The school operates as a mixed day and boarding school with separate facilities for girls and boys. The teaching staff comprises a strong team of 52 degree and diploma holders.
