Doha - For the first time, Sharq Village & Spa throws open its restaurant doors for patrons to enjoy a taste of a traditional Qatari Ramadan. To satisfy everyone's needs, guests will be able to choose from a number of Sharq Village & Spa's luxurious restaurants to dine in, including Al Liwan, Al Wanis Shisha terrace and the Arabian Cafe Al Jalsa, a press release said yesterday.

"At Sharq Village & Spa, we're very keen to get underway with our first Ramadan celebrations, which will be a very opulent yet traditional affair. Sharq Village & Spa is distinctive in its approach and is offering the genuine warmth of true Qatari hospitality, the highest levels of personal service and the finest facilities. No two guests will encounter the same experience at Sharq Village & Spa due to its individuality and personalisation." said Abdul Aziz Al Emadi, General Manager, Sharq Village & Spa.

Those choosing to dine at Al Liwan can tuck into Chef Hassan Abdallah's, sumptuous Iftar buffet. On offer will be grilled dishes, saj breads and an assortment of traditional sweets, all of which are wrapped in an authentic Arabian atmosphere. For those who prefer flavours from foreign shores, there will also be a selection of international dishes, from fresh seafood and salads, to live cooking stations and decadent desserts.

Al Wanis Shisha terrace offers a soothing ambience in a romantic setting. The canopied booths allow for a little privacy whilst facing out over one of the most breathtaking views over the resort. Each booth can accommodate up to 15 people and provides a personal butler service to serve guests traditional Ramadan beverages throughout the evening.

Patrons can enjoy board games such as backgammon, chess and draughts whilst aromatic shisha is served in a variety of exotic flavours, to the haunting melodies of the oud.

Al Wanis Shisha Terrace is open every evening, between 6pm and 1am.

For a customary treat the Arabian Cafe Al Jalsa offers the perfect setting to repose in comfort and sample an array of exotic teas exclusively blended by Tchaba.

Sharq Village & Spa is the ideal setting for corporate Iftar celebrations as well as for sharing Ramadan with colleagues, business associates and clients. The conference and catering team offers a comprehensive list of set menus to choose from and will be more than delighted to assist with entertainment options for larger groups.

The Iftar buffet is served in Al Liwan daily until 10.30pm for QR155 plus 17 per cent tax and service charge.
