SHARJAH -- The Sharjah Directorate of Town Planning and Survey Department (SDTPS) has launched a new service to facilitate businessmen and investors planning to buy or sell land in Sharjah.
The SDTPS will issue them land maps in accordance with ownership documents. The maps, prepared within an hour, will be sent to them through Aramex courier service.
Dr Engineer Obaid Al Tunaiji, Member of the Executive Council and the Director of SDTPS, said the main purpose of launching the new efficient service was to meet the increasing market demands for buying and selling lands and properties in Sharjah.
"The busy schedules of businessmen and investors makes it very hard for them to complete necessary procedures required to buy or sell land. But through the new service they will have to pay an additional Dh100 and we will prepare the map of the plot and deliver it to them on the same day," he said.
Engineer Al Tunaiji noted that the new service was initiated under the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in order to facilitate and efficiently accomplish the necessary procedures. This will save them considerable amount of time and effort, he added.
"I hope the new service will be of great help to our clients. We welcome comments and suggestions on the new service through the suggestion box available at the SDTPS," Eng Al Tunaiji said.By Lina Abdul Rahman
