Aleppo - Ways of enhancing scientific cooperation between Aleppo University and Tempus Program in North Africa and the Middle East were reviewed here Wednesday by Aleppo University Rector Nidal Shihada and in charge of the program Prof. Philip Rovio.

They also discussed ways of benefiting from the projects funded by Tempus National Program in Syria.

Shihadeh indicated to the university cooperation with bodies of the European Union and European Commission to develop the high education system through joint scientific projects and research scholars that serve the needs of Master students and develop departments and curriculums.

For his part, Rovio pointed that Tempus Program works on developing policies of admission to universities, developing technical institutes and scientific research infrastructure and holding workshops to introduce the Program at the Syrian universities.

Tempus Program was established in Syria in 2002, it aims at enhancing intercultural understanding and strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education.
