In a glittering function attended by the luminaries of local cricket, the annual prize presentation ceremony of the Sharjah Cricket Council (SCC) was held at the Ball Room of Hotel Holiday International, Sharjah.
A galaxy of past international cricketers present on the occasion included former Pakistan Test cricketers Wazir Mohammad and Mushtaq Mohammad and Haroon Rashid.
The guests of the evening also included Nasir Akram, Secretary General of ECB, Abdul Razak Kazim, Chief Selector, ECB, Waleed Bukhatir, Hayat Yar Khan, Leroy Lindsay, and Mohammed Lokhandwala and Anwar Zaidi of Dubai Cricket Council, Zain Ghazali, Shabbir Rokadia, Mansoor Pasha, Mazhar Khan and Ejazur Rahman of SCC.
The pride of place amongst winners went to the young ECB Blues team who won the premier 28th Bukhatir League for A Division teams for the first time beating Effects Advertising Tellichery who also did exceptionally well to finish as runners up.
