Seoul, August 23, SPA--The general assembly of the International Parliamentary Federation for Social Services approved in its third meeting here today reappointment of Member of the Saudi Shoura (consultative) Council Eng. Osama bin Mohammed Al-Kurdi as the federation's deputy chairman for another two-year term.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on this occasion, Eng. Al-Kurdi expressed his pleasure over his unanimous reappointment to this important post, noting that his candidacy demonstrates the confidence of the world community in the Kingdom and its political and social weight at local, regional and international arenas under the leadership of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince.

On the other hand, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Shafi Al-Otaibi, Member of Saudi Shoura Council delivered a speech in the meeting in which he highlighted the King's initiative to combat poverty, efforts exerted to fight unemployment among citizens, rights obtained by foreign labor force and the Kingdom's role in taking care for and rehabilitating persons of the special needs and expanding job opportunities for them.
