Dr Farrukh Waheed Khan has been appointed a life underwriting manager at Solidarity Family Takaful (SFT). Prior to joining Solidarity, he headed takaful underwriting in the Saudi-based National Company for Cooperative Insurance for nearly two years.
"The appointment of Dr Khan brings significant experience in medical underwriting and claims management which come along with many decisions made to implement Soldiarity's strategy in strengthening the risks and protection analysis tools by getting on board the expertise of one who has the ability to provide clients with protection benefits matching their individual needs," said Rob King, SFT general manager. The new life underwriting manager earned a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Sindh in Pakistan and is an associate of the Academy of Life Underwriters.
