Muscat: Schoolchildren in Oman are preparing for this year's essay and poster competition, titled 'Spreading The Light Through Human Values - 2014.'
SAI and Times of Oman Open Essay Writing and Poster Making Competition under the theme of "values" is slated for April 12 at Muscat schools; April 19 in Nizwa, Sur and Sohar schools in the Dakhiliyah, Sharqiyah and Batinah regions; and April 26 in Salalah and Buraimi for schools in the Dhofar and Dhahirah regions.
The event, supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE), is set to witness another round of enthusiastic participation from the student community, as in previous years. Indian School Al Ghubra will be the venue for the competition in Muscat, while the school's branches in Salalah, Nizwa, Sohar, Sur and Buraimi will be the venues in the respective towns.
"Make the children better children and better citizens for tomorrow" is the primary focus of conducting this competition.
