BAHLA -- Internal road projects at cost of 5.5 million rials were opened in the Wilayat of Bahla yesterday at a ceremony held under the auspices of Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed al Harthy, State Adviser, in the presence of Dr Khamis bin Mubarak al Alawi, Minister of Transport and Communications, and dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Salim bin Mohammed al Nu'aimi, Transport and Communication's Ministry's Under-Secretary said that the implementation of the project comes as per the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos during his meet-the-people Royal tour in 2007.
The 80-km road project would ease the movement of vehicles in various areas, Al Nu'aimi said. Specifications of modern traffic safety and sign posts were considered in implementing the roads for the easy flow of traffic. Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Ali al Alawi, Legal Affairs Minister, will preside over the opening of internal roads in the Wilayat of Ja'alan Bani Bu Hassan on Wednesday.
