Amman - Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced the expansion of the codesharing agreement with "oneworld" partner British Airway (BA).
According to the agreement, customers are allowed to buy a British Airways ticket between Heathrow and Amman on a flight that will be operated by Royal Jordanian and have the ease of booking direct through BA website (ba.com).
The codeshare tickets will go on sale starting from April 19, 2011 on daily service to Amman, which will be operated by an A330 on both business and economy cabins, from Heathrow's Terminal 3.
RJ CEO Hussein Dabbas on Wednesday said that the codesharing agreement will enhance the company's services and strengthen the route and the competitiveness of the Royal Jordanian product even further.
British Airways' Area General Manager Jamie Cassidy said that the new codeshare with RJ is a real bonus for BA customers wanting to fly to Amman and will prove popular with both direct customers and those connecting from around global network.
Royal Jordanian has been codesharing on British Airways' domestic and Scandinavian flights from Heathrow since 2008.
