BAGHDAD: State of Law MP, headed by Premier Nouri al-Maliki, admitted, for the first time, that "no reforms paper is available", calling it as "an illusion".
MP Saleh al-Asadi, in a statement published on electronic sites and local agencies, that "the Reforms Paper is but an illusion", pointing that the statements published were "just personal opinions".
Chairman of the National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaffari announced that he will submit the Reforms Paper, which will contain 70 items, for national reforms among the partners and achieve balance in government and military organs.
Jaffari's declaration came out after a series of meetings and consultations with Iraqiya, Kurdish and Sadrist blocs in Arbil and Najaf, which resulted in questioning Maliki to withdraw confidence from his government, but the Sadrist Trend withdrew calling to freeze the questioning for wide political reforms and give more chance for political dialogues.
President Jalal Talabani conducted, during the last two weeks', a series of meetings with Iraqi blocs, including Premier Maliki, Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi, Iraqiya bloc leader Iyad Alawi and Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani.
