Dubai: An audience attended a Ramadan lecture conducted by Dr Amru Khalid Thursday night in a lecture series organised by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) at the Chamber of Commerce.

DIHQA chairman Bu Melha, Religious Activity Head Arif Jalfar and other dignitaries attended the function.

Khalid's lecture was titled "Give priority to social interest, rather than personal interest".

"Man has been created as a social animal, therefore he has to endure a common code that would be encountered for the wellbeing of the entire human being," said Dr Khalid, renowned Islamic scholar and well-known orator from Egypt.

Dr Zakir Naik delivered another Ramadan lecture at the Airport expo titled "Miracles of the Prophets belong to Almighty God".

"Wherever miracles have been registered in the life of any prophet, including Jesus Christ, it has come from the resource of God Almighty," said Dr Naik.

He said that religion is a way of life, every man has to follow it. He asked about the logic of a man entering a forest and eating each and every fruit without ensuring that the fruits are good and are not toxic to the body.

In such circumstances man has to resort to an expert, whether these particular fruits are edible and not toxic.
