RAK Ruler visits Al Basma Camp for diabetic children

RAS AL-KHAIMA, 3rd April, 2014 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has visited the headquarters of the Al Basma Camp, in its 7th edition, under the theme: ?The smile camp? for Diabetic Children, which is being organised by the Ras al-Khaimah Medical Zone.

During his visit, Sheikh Saud was accompanied by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and a number of senior officials.

Sheikh Saud exchanged talks with children participating in the camp and listened to an explanation from those involved in organising the camp about its goals which aimed to teach diabetic children the principles for dealing with their conditions and train them in a set of skills that will help them to live a healthier life.

Sheikh Saud witnessed the distribution of 100 gifts to children of the camp.

The event was attended by more than 250 personnel, including 150 diabetic children from across the U.A.E. and GCC.
