DOHA: Qatar's first aquatic park is set to open in April 2010. Featuring a giant wave pool, lazy river, lagoons and water shoots, the park on Salwa Road will offer quality leisure and entertainment to both nationals and expatriates.
The project, scheduled to be completed in April 2010, shall be featuring Wave Pool, multiple slide complexes, adventure world, children activity pool and other wet and dry rides and activities. Action-packed slides and giant waves would offer amazing adventurous and thrilling experience for youth. The project is aimed at entertaining people of all ages.
With a series of water games and slides for children and families, the 'adventure world' would offer a comprehensive entertainment package. Kids will be immensely happy to discover the thrilled "Adventure World" with an interactive play system. Everyone can play together on multi-level platforms, integrated with many games. The specially designed slides and activities can create various water effects including a giant tipping bucket that would soak the entire family in a matter of seconds.
For those who prefer a more relaxing ride, there is the Lazy River. Riders can travel in grand rubber rings on an incredible journey in to the adventures encountered around the Kings and Queens Exotic Village nested in the river. The exotic village surrounded by lazy river shall be a perfect spot to hold functions, stage events, ceremonies and concerts.
"The Lagoon", with a themed pool, natural rock formations, cascades, grotto and a Spa is an ideal place to take a break from the activities for a while and relax.

The project is coming up 16km from the proposed Industrial Interchange towards Abu Samra.
Hala Group Enterprises is developing the project with the support of the Aqua Masters, a well known Cypriotic water theme park company. Hala Group Enterprises yesterday entered into an agreement with Al Jazera Entertainment Enterprises Company, Kuwait, to manage the water park.
Abdullah Hassan Al Ghanim, Chief Executive Officer, Hala Group Enterprises and Ibrahim Al Haroon, Chairman, Al Jazera Entertainment signed the agreement.
