DOHA - In continuation of the Merweb brands growth policy, Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH) announces the signing of a letter of intent for a new Merweb Hotel in Doha.
The signing took place yesterday at the Head Quarters of Qatar National Hotels Company. The joint signatories were Sheikh Nawaf bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar National Hotels Company and Mohammed Hamad Abdullah Al Nasr.
Another Merweb Hotel in Doha will be added to the portfolio of the company which will be third Merweb property announced so far. This new hotel is currently under construction on Ras Abu Abboud Street and is designed mainly for business travelers who seek a high quality 4-star business hotel with major access routes and within short driving and walking distance of almost all retail shops and small business offices.
"Given that QNH has signed a management contract late 2006 for the Merweb Grand City Center and the success we have enjoyed with the existing Merweb Hotel Al Sadd, we're delighted to be launching the third Merweb in Doha," explains Sheikh Nawaf, Chairman of QNH. "We are in no doubt that the new Merweb brand and philosophy will delight the guests of this hotel as well."
The Merweb Hotel in Doha's Old Ghanem Area, a prime business area with new residential and commercial development plans, is to be completed by mid-2008. The four-star hotel will offer 236 well equipped guest rooms and suites with a total area of 22,776 sqm. The property will enjoy salient facilities comprising of a spacious main restaurant, cocktail lounge and bar, two smaller sized dining rooms; guests will also be able to relax in the hotels leisure centre with its swimming pool, gym, Jacuzzi sauna, steam and massage room. A banquet hall with two function rooms will be available for banquets and conferences.
