DOHA: Maersk Sealand recently held a function in honour of the support, loyalty and commitment received from their customers within the State of Qatar.
The 'Maersk Sealand Nite' was held on March 9 at the Al Wosail Ballroom, Ritz Carlton, and Doha. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, was the guest of honour, who is also the joint venture partner of Maersk Qatar Maritime Services WLL. Awards were presented to the largest customers of Maersk Sealnad within the State of Qatar which included companies like Qapco, QChem, Family Food Centre, Aerofreight Company and various others.
Poonam Datta, managing director, Maersk UAE, Oman and Qatar said in her welcome address that 2004 had been another record breaking year for the company.
Maersk Sealnad "never lost sight of the ultimate goal, which had always been to provide second to none service to its customers consistently".
The premium and gold card schemes and the e-based services were part of this customers focused approach.
With a quote from Oscar Wilde, she stated that they believed in creating and providing the right conditions for their customers.
She ended the speech saying that superior quality of service would influence the choice of carriers in times to come. Sunil Joseph, country manager for Maersk Sealand in Qatar also spoke on the occasion.
