DOHA - Grand Regency hotel has been able to reinforce its position between the prestigious five star hotels in Doha, when it won four different prizes in four different categories in a competition that was organised between the hotels of Doha.
This was part of the "Hospitality 2006" fair, which ended recently in Qatar International Exhibition Centre.
This exhibition centre has been organising similar events in the past years after the noticeable boom that the hospitality industry has been experiencing. The industry and others have managed to prosper under the wise guidance of the Emir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Heir Apparent.
The four prizes that Grand Regency won include a gold prize for the best table setting for an occasion, a silver prize for the best cold starters, and two bronze prizes for ice and fruit carving. These prizes come as a proof that the Grand Regency hires reputed chefs who are not only proficient in cooking dishes but also in presenting and serving them.
Ayman Lotfi, general manager of the Grand Regency Doha, said during the above event: "In less than a year from its opening, the hotel was able to gain the trust of its elite customers, those that have good taste when it comes to appreciating good cuisines and exclusive services provided in five star hotels. Today, Grand Regency has received four proofs from specialist in the hospitality industry when they won gold, silver, and two bronze prizes all during the Hospitality exhibition contest".
