Doha - The Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has issued its Businessmen and Investors Directory 2006 published by Safran Media Group. The directory features comprehensive information on various economic sectors in Qatar, including highlights on Qatar, the finance sector and procedures for establishing companies and their categories.
A section of the directory also deals with foreign investments, procedures for obtaining the commercial registration in addition to information on banks, financial institutions and insurance companies as well as the tourism sector, the country's airline and health sector.
In the foreword of the directory, QCCI Chairman Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani said that in view of the important role it plays in sustainable development drive, the QCCI is striving to enable the private sector find new investment opportunities and enter into joint ventures with foreign companies. This, he said, would enable them to take advantage of advanced technologies which would contribute to the diversification of national sources of income and eventually the contribution of the private sector in the country's GDP.
