MUSCAT -- Pakistan School Muscat celebrated the inauguration of the Syeda Fatima al Zahra Girls Block and Qazi Yousuf Chemistry Lab in the presence of the Board of Directors, management committees and principals of all the Pakistan Schools in Oman.

Nawabzada Amin Ullah Khan Raisani, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman was the chief guest of the occasion. Present at the event were Muhammad Zia ul Haq Siddiqui, Chairman -- Board of Directors, Members of the Board of Directors, Embassy Officers, former Chairmen, Members -- School Management Committee, the Chairman and Members of the Pakistan Social Club, Principals of Pakistan Schools, Muscat School, faculty of all branches and other dignitaries.

Also in attendance were senior representatives of the Pakistan School Musannah, Pakistan School Sohar and Pakistan School Nizwa. Addressing the gathering, the ambassador reminded staff of Pakistan School Muscat that they had an even greater responsibility to accomplish now that the Syeda Fatima al Zahra Block and Qazi Yousuf Chemistry Lab were added to the school.

He also commended the contribution of the Board of Directors, consultant, technical team, donors and the school administration in the successful completion of the Zahra Block and other projects.
Muhammad Zakariya Babur, Principal -- Pakistan School Muscat, thanked the distinguished guests and staff of all schools.

He appreciated the co-operation extended by the branch schools and their Principals. Enrolment at PSM, he said, has now crossed the 2,000-students mark, while the branch schools have added more than 400 schools to their rolls.

Later, the faculty of Pakistan Schools took part in a cultural programme featuring skits, songs, poetry and traditional mushaira. The evening concluded with a dinner.
