Abu Dhabi, May 21, 2006 (WAM) -- President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received from King Mohammed VI of Morocco a letter dealing with bilateral relations and ways to boost them in various fields in addition to other issues of mutual interest.
The letter also contains an invitation for the UAE President to visit Morocco. Sheikh Khalifa accepted the invitation and would honour it on a date to be decided later.
Advisor to the Moroccan King, Mizyan Balfaqeeh, who is currently on a visit to the UAE, delivered the letter today to the UAE President when the latter received him at his palace in Al Bateen, in the presence of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Balfaqeeh conveyed to Sheikh Khalifa greetings and wishes of good health from King Mohammed VI who also wished the UAE and its people more progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa.
The UAE President also conveyed through the Moroccan official his warmest greetings and well-wishes to the Moroccan monarch. He also conveyed his wishes of more progress and prosperity to the Moroccan government and people.
They reviewed bilateral ties in various fields and other avenues of cooperation to propel the existing relations to a greater height. They also discussed a number of issues and latest developments on the regional and international scenes.
Also present at the meeting were Interior Minister, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Under Secretary for Ministry of Finance and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Foundation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of sheikhs, senior officials and Moroccan Ambassador, Abdelqadir Zawi.
