Peaceful use of the nuclear technology is Iranˈs right, Tunisian Prime Minster Mehdi Jomaa said on Wednesday.

He made the remarks in the farewell ceremony of Iranian Ambassador to Tunis Peyman Jebeli.

Islamic World is proud of Iranˈs scientific and technological progresses in all fields including the peaceful use of nuclear energy, Jomaa added.

He called for expansion of ties between the two countries in all fields particularly the field of economy.

Jebeli for his part welcomed development of relations between the two states.

Iran is ready to transfer its experiences to Muslim states including Tunisia, he said.

Tehran has striven to maximize relations with the African continent.

Iran is an observing member of the African Union (AU) and has shown an active presence in previous AU summit meetings.

The country is considered as one of the AUˈs strategic partners along with India, Japan, China, several South American states and Turkey, while Tehran is also believed to be prioritizing promotion of its economic and political ties with the African states.
