Passenger traffic, all activities included, posted a 22.7% rise in July in comparison with the same period last year, climbing from 313, 092 passengers to 384, 272, Tunisair Wednesday indicated in a press release.
Regular traffic grew 10.1 % with passenger numbers going up from 293, 433 to 323, 028. Additional traffic jumped 16.1%, rising from 3, 717 to 4, 317 travellers.
Likewise, charter flights saw the number of passengers rise from 12, 574 to 42, 118 owing to the recovery of tourist traffic.
The load factor edged up 5.9 points, reaching 76.5% in July. Geographical breakdown shows European countries that have a market share of 75.8 % in scheduled traffic posted a 5.9% rise; African countries, with 14.1 % of the passenger transport market, registered a 26.4% increase.
A 19.1% rise was reported for Middle East countries which market share stands at 8.2 %. North America (Montreal), which market share is estimated at 1.84%, showed a 56.3% rise.
