Damascus - Assistant Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar met with delegations of the Algerian Peace Society Movement Party headed by Abu Jara Sultani and the Algerian Liberation Front Party headed by Arabi al- Zubeiri.

Talks during the two meetings dealt with relations between al-Baath Party and the two Algerian parties as well as outcomes of the 4th session of the Arab Parties' Congress being held in Damascus.

Al-Ahmar and his guests underlined importance of boosting cooperation among Arab parties to enhance national unity, enhancing the joint Arab action in order to face the current pressures and threats which target the Arab nation.

Heads and members of the two Algerian delegations, for their parts hailed President Bashar al-Assad's speech at the opening session of the Congress, saying that it was very important in enriching the pan-Arab thinking as it represents a work plan for the Arab renaissance project.

Earlier, Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Party Mohammad Said Bkheitan underlined the necessity of developing mechanism of the parties' work and boosting relations among Arab parties to confront plots which target the Arab Nation.

Bkheitan held similar meetings with heads and members of the delegations participating in the Arab parties' Congress where they described President Assad's speech to the session as representing a pan-Arab work program that seeks to activate the role of the Arab governments and parties in the current sensitive stage.

The delegations' members referred to Syria's firm stances based on an accurate knowledge and clear analytic vision in the face of the Zionist project in the region.
 
They praised Syria's stances in preserving the Arab dignity, noting to the great capabilities of the Syrian political discourse represented by President Assad's personality.

Talks during the meetings focused on activating the role of the national parties and boosting dialogue among different movements.

Later, Chairman of Algerian Peace Society Movement Abu Jara Sultani paid a visit to the Keftaro Islamic Academy in Damascus where he met its Director General Dr. Salah el-Din Keftaro and the students.

Dr. Keftaro, for his part, underlined the importance of understanding the reality of Islam away from extremism, calling for spreading the culture of dialogue, particularly during crucial conditions the Arab and Islamic nations are passing through.
