MUSCAT -- Oman Shipping Company (OSC) gets one more feather in its cap at the 10th Seatrade's Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Annual Awards function for 2013, held on November 18 at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai. The company's wholly owned subsidiary, Oman Ship Management Company (OSMC) was awarded the prestigious "The Ship Manager Award" among the 3 finalists by the esteemed judging panel. The award was sponsored by Wilhelmsen Ships Service.
The award was received by Tarik al Junaidi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of OSC on behalf of OSMC, at the hands of Nikolai Norman, Regional Ships Agency Director, Region Africa, Middle East, Black Sea and Indian Subcontinent, Wilhelmsen Ship Service, Dubai and in the presence of Chris Hayman, Chairman, Seatrade.
Oman Shipping Company, Muscat, Oman established in 2003 has grown in leaps and bounds in the past one decade. Presently, it operates a total fleet of 43 vessels aggregating to about 8 million deadweight cargo carrying capacity, comprising of 34 owned vessels and 9 in-chartered vessels. One State of Art LNG vessel which is under construction will also join the fleet soon in August 2014. The fleet is well diversified and quite young too.
