Doha: Opus Technologies will officially launch its new multi-room entertainment and smart home control system. The revolutionary Opus 6 Series has been developed from the ground-up as the complete wrap-around solution to unify the vast multitude of entertainment sources and home control options. The whole system is delivered through Opus' single intuitive interface, accessible across a variety of control options including Opus touchscreens, Apple iPhone, iPad and new media navigation via a TV.

At the heart is the powerful master control unit (MCU610) boasting distribution to six main zones and six sub-zones (scalable to 36 / 36) serving as the robust back-bone for a flexible multi-room entertainment system. The 6 Series embraces key consumer technologies such as Apple TV, Blu-ray, iPod, media streaming, internet radio and more, plus integration of lighting, heating, windows / blinds and CCTV, including KNX enabled devices, for the ultimate smart home.

Boasting a feature set which incorporates the invaluable feedback provided by Opus' international trade partners during an extensive pre-launch consultation project, the all-new Opus 6 series is a system designed for installers by installers. With fewer devices to integrate, more powerful and intuitive software the Opus 6 series is far easier to install and able to accommodate the most demanding client expectations with ease.

With less than 1watt standby power consumption for the entire system -- a benefit almost unheard of within the smart home environment -- Opus is proud to deliver all of this technology to end users with minimal energy consumption.

The new MCU610 master control unit provides entertainment from 14 sources to six zones plus six sub-zones. This impressive hub is controlled by new 3.5" and 5.7" Opus touchscreens, iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad.

Offering full high definition video output to eight HD TV screens anywhere in the home, the VMX610 high definition video matrix delivers the ultimate in picture quality for homes of any size from a single box.

Combining a wealth of connectivity with surprising ease of configuration, the VMX610 is able to accommodate up to eight AV sources and output to eight zones. Installers are set to be amazed by the extremely low latency and reliable HDMI switching. Opus has used the very latest manufacturing techniques to produce a state-of-the-art, eight layer PCB design for ultimate data transfer speed and stability. Opus' 'Virtual Handshake' technology is designed to eliminate signal dropouts associated with multiple sources, display resolutions and users.

The VMX610 even has the flexibility to send a high definition signal to a TV in a room without an Opus touchscreen, enabling IR or iPhone control of the Opus system instead. Now available in two size options the new Opus 6 series touchscreens offer incredible scope to installers with full customisation and easy configuration.
