MUSCAT -- The Research Council (TRC) will organise a workshop on Innovation and Intellectual Property Asset Management (IIPAM) and Successful Technology Licensing, to create wealth in the Arab Region at the Platinum Hotel tomorrow. The event has been organised by TRC in co-operation with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
The workshop will be participated by a squad of specialists and experts from diverse government and private institutions.
On agenda of programmes includes discussion on the origins of intellectual property and its role on advancing innovation and supporting the commercialisation of technology.
Discussions will also examine the requirements of creating the culture of innovation and infrastructure needed in support of the national innovation system through strategy formulation as well as identify areas of initial strategy for the development of property advantages in the Sultanate and the Arab region.
