Talks also focus on Gulf, Arab, global issues
MUSCAT -- His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia held a session of official talks at Al Alam Palace yesterday. They discussed the excellent brotherly bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them in various spheres to open up wider fields of co-operation and meet further hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Omani and Saudi peoples. His Majesty the Sultan and the king also discussed all Gulf, Arab and global issues of concern to the two sides.
The talks were attended from the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture; Gen Ali bin Majid al Maamari, Minister of the Royal Office; Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs; Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Supervisor of the Finance Ministry; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers; Shaikh Salim bin Hilal al Khalili, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries; and Said bin Ali al Kalbani, Oman's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
It was attended from the Saudi side by Prince Saud al Faisal bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Foreign Minister; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Minister of State, member of the Council of Ministers and Chief of the Diwan of the Council of Ministers; Dr Ghazi bin Abdulrahman al Qusaibi, Minister of Labour; Dr Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz al Assaf, Minister of Finance; Iyad bin Amin Madani, Minister of Culture and Information; and Abdullah Abdulrahman Aalim, the Saudi Ambassador to the Sultanate.
