MUSCAT -- Following the success of the '141' offer where customers can use the Internet at high speeds for just RO 1, Oman Mobile has decided to bring this offer back and to keep it permanently. This is following the end of the existing promotions which provided customers with 10 hours surfing for RO 1 and 60 hours for RO 3.

These offers were very successful being the lowest in the market and Oman Mobile has listened to their customers who applauded the RO 1 = 24 hours and decided to bring it back. This will provide existing customers with more surfing hours, making it 24 hours for RO 1 and 72 hours for RO 3 for long surfers. The new rates will enable Hayk customers to enjoy unlimited surfing of website at uncapped speeds.

They also enable them to download several applications and video files, chat with their friends, conduct banking transactions, shop and review news and events. Meanwhile, the "Long Surfer" package gives the customers the chance to remain connected with the Internet non-stop. The new rates give the customers more flexibility, allowing them to log in and log out during the usage period for unlimited number of times. They can surf the Internet without the need to sign in every time they want to surf or fear from exceeding the daily usage limit as applied in some Internet services.

The introduction of these tariffs underscores the success of the recent 3.5G offers introduced by the company since the launch of the new network. Subscribers benefit from the 'Long Surfer' and 'Daily Surfer' offers by sending an SMS with text 141 to 90015 or dial *141# and following the instructions. Subscribers can either access the mobile broadband Internet through their mobile phones or modem. They can purchase 3.5G phones or modems from Oman Mobile and Omantel outlets. They can use their own modems or handsets.

Oman Mobile is the leading telecom company in the Sultanate of Oman. It is the first operator of mobile telecom services. It owns the most-up-to-date 3.5G network, covering large parts of Omani cities. Oman Mobile provides its services to more than 1.8 million subscribers. The company's network covers around 96 per cent of the Sultanate's populated areas through more than 60 value added services.
