MUSCAT -- The German embassy in collaboration with Bait Muzna Gallery is presenting a joint exhibition by two Omani international artists Moosa Omar (painter) and Ayoub al Balushi (sculptor) and German artist Anina von Winterfeld (painter). The exhibition will be hosted by Klaus Geyer, German Ambassador to the Sultanate, and Susanne Geyer at the residence of the ambassador where a private opening ceremony will be held on March 3, followed by three days of private viewing. The exhibition will then continue for public viewing at Bait Muzna Gallery from March 9 -17.
Moosa Omar is an artist who has exhibited worldwide. Working in mixed media, Omar's style combines elements of realism, symbolism and abstract expressionism. Al Balushi is a renowned sculptor with international recognition. He produces vibrant marble and wood sculptures which beautifully complement Omar's artwork. Anina, a resident of Oman, specialises in the art of "collage". The culture, colour, nature and people of Oman provide her with tremendous inspiration in her art. Ten per cent of the sales proceeds will be donated to the Association of Early Learning.
