MUSCAT — The annual general meeting (AGM) of Computer Stationery Industry SAOG has approved a dividend of 20 per cent (RO170,000) for the financial year ended December 31, 2002, proposed by the board of directors, a press release said.

During the year 2002, the company recorded a net profit of RO234,412, an increase of 32.44 per cent compared to RO176,990 recorded in the previous year. The meeting also approved the audited accounts of the company.

The AGM was chaired by Mehdi bin Mohammed Jawad Al Abduwani. Election of new board of directors also took place at the meeting. Mehdi bin Mohammed Jawad Al Abduwani has been elected chairman by the new board. Suhail Ahmed Al Mashani has been elected vice-chairman of the company. The other directors inducted on the board are: Hassan Ehsan Al Nasseb, Masoud Humaid Malik Al Harthy, Ali Mohammed Zabnoot, Hassan Mohammed Ali Al Lawati and Shrirang M. Kulkarni.
