MUSCAT -- This is the time of the year when school leavers are thinking about their possible future careers, and to help them decide, they now have the opportunity to attend a career counselling seminar on the important field of Information Technology.
The seminar will be conducted by academics and professionals from industry and government, including Tariq Hilal Al Barwani, online manager of Nawras and IT expert; Hassan Abdul Ali Mohammed, deputy general manager IT of Oman Arab Bank; Azher Hussain, technical account manager of Microsoft; Ali Hussein Al Lawait, IT security manager of Ernst & Young, and Dr Otto Spaniol, professor of IT at RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
Following a general panel discussion on the importance of Information Technology and its importance in our modern world, attendees will have an opportunity to talk with speakers on a one-to-one basis to ensure that all their questions are answered and that they obtain as much information as they require to make informed decisions concerning their future careers.
An important demand for qualified IT professionals comes from all sectors of industry and commerce in a variety of applications.
