The 750 square metre Nepal pavilion at the Global Village looks like one of the ancient quarters of the country. It mirrors all the different hues of its beautiful countryside.

Nepal, rich in scenic splendour and cultural treasures, has long been a tourist paradise.

There are almost 30 stalls in the Nepal pavilion.

Dorje Seupa, who operates a stall in the pavilion, said: "My country has some of the best handmade carpets, paintings and woodwork. Most of my customers are European. I sell hand-paintings, wooden boxes, carpets made of pure wool in natural colours. These carpets come with a lifetime guarantee and range between Dh40 and Dh1,700."

Aasha Lama is also content being part of such a huge international event. She is selling momos, a healthy traditional dish.

Selling accessories handcrafted from corn-husk is Loxmiaa Nakarmi. Her goods have been well accepted and she is elated to get such a lovely platform to display her talent.

In fact, the Global Village has something to offer for everyone.
