KUWAIT CITY : Online banking is becoming immensely popular in today's world; with pressures on our time being a major constraint as a result more of us are conducting our banking needs on the web. National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), Middle East and Kuwait's highly rated bank offers its customers the best of online banking services. Popularly known as "Watani Online", the bank showcases a variety of services an account holder can avail. Kevin Turner Assistant General Manager, Consumer Banking says: "Watani Online is NBK's online banking solution that provides our customers with a wide range of free online banking service... to all our registered customers". NBK offers a large number of services to its customers, from downloading account statements, to money transfer or payment of bills. "We offer a wide range of services online for example you can pay your bills, transfer your money within your accounts, to accounts held at other banks within Kuwait or anywhere in the world, or pay your rent", explained Turner.
Transfers
"When you do a transfer within your accounts or to another NBK customer the transfer is electronically immediately and credited to the other persons account.... all transfers within NBK and to other Kuwait banks are Free " said Turner. The website also offers account holders the facility to transfer money outside of Kuwait, customers can choose to accept the beneficiary banks charges or for peace of mind pay a minimal fee and let NBK pay the beneficiary banks charges. While, any NBK account holder who has an account with NBK in Egypt, Lebanon or Jordan can transfer money free of charge. Investors with NBK can also track their fund performance online. "You can see your fund performance online. You can also see the details of your credit cards, you can make credit card payments and you can see your loan information online," Turner said.
Turner explained that NBK's online services are different from its competitors because of the number of services it offers its customers. "You can transfer money free of charge, (it is) automatic you don't have to wait for the money to be credited. It is safe and secure. You can email our support team (your) problem or a question about your account and within 24 hours you will have a response. It is secure no one can access your bank details".

NBK also regularly educates its customer on the various safety features that are available online. "Watani Online is very safe and secure, so that our customers know that our online banking is a genuine rather than a false one we have a Seal of Trust. Account holders can click on that seal and it will automatically tell you whether it is a fake one (website) or a genuine one," said Turner. Amongst the new services that NBK is looking to introduce on its website, Turner says: "On the online banking we have quite a lot of in the pipeline. We are looking at enhancing our security further and adding new services to customers. These new developments will ensure NBK online banking is amongst the best in the world".
