Muscat - Sabre Travel Network Middle East, a technology company serving travel buyers, agencies and suppliers, has signed an agreement with National Travel & Tourism (NTT), part of the Saud Bahwan Group.

The deal will allow NTT to employ Sabre's travel technology solutions to book travel packages for its customers across the sultanate. NTT will also use Sabre's web-booking engine, a tool that helps companies tap the lucrative online marketplace.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO of Sabre, said, "In addition to our normal expansion in the GCC, we are now expanding with one of the well known travel houses in Oman. We need to differentiate the way we do business, to prove our customer loyalty. We need to show our customers that we are providing them with the best tools, helping them save money.

"Additionally, NTT will have access to the Sabre red workspace, which provides agents with faster start-up times, high performance even in low-bandwidth areas, quality stability and quick and easy access to low-fare content.

"We believe in the sultanate's Vision 2020 and feel Oman has a lot to offer. The red product is based on latest technology, allowing the travel agent to tailor his or her desktop to provide the best service to clients," added Naoumovitch.
