DUBAI -- Captain Mansoor Yasin A Ghafoor has been selected as one of the twelve Vice Presidents of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association of FIATA's Extended Board. Capt. Mansoor is the President of the National Association of Freight Logistics (NAFL) which is the UAE's representative organisation in FIATA.
Capt Mansoor spoke about the contribution that the UAE may give to the international freight forwarders organisation, especially with the upcoming hosting of Dubai 2007 of the annual FIATA World Congress.
He said: "We want to serve FIATA. But more importantly, we want to serve our country. We want Dubai and the UAE to be always active in such an international body because FIATA has a very big role to play in the international logistics industry.''
Discussing the expectations as well as his personal objectives and goals as an official of FIATA, he revealed that success of the training programs conducted by the NAFL in Dubai is among the major points which can be put forward and shared among other member countries of FIATA, particularly in the Middle East and African region.
