MISSAN  - A local company on Saturday initiated a project to construct a six-story parking garage in Amara city at a total cost of over 13 billion dinars, a senior local source said.
 
"The main designs for the project have been drawn up by a specialized Iraqi company," the director of the planning center, Zayd Khalaf, told Aswat al-Iraq- Voices of Iraq- (VOI).

Highlighting the significance of the project, the director said that the garage is located near the city's main market and is designed to accommodate a large number of vehicles.

The Iraqi government has allocated 144 billion Iraqi dinars (1 U.S. dollar= 1,221 Iraqi dinars) for provincial development projects in Missan province.
 
Amara, the capital city of Missan province, lies 390 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
