Dubai Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has invited former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to Saudi Arabia, United Press International reported.
Arab diplomatic sources, who refused to be named, said that Mubarak received a Saudi delegation at his residence in Sharm Al Shaikh prior to King Abdullah’s return to the kingdom on Wednesday.
The delegation, including Saudi Ambassador to Cairo Hesham Nazir, invited Mubarak to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. Mubarak turned down the invitation so as not to appear that he is “escaping”, the sources added.
