Such Allegations Can Harm National Unity: Al-Shatti
KUWAIT CITY, March 28
Media Security Department revealed in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior that the concerned investigative authorities of the ministry have filed a misdemeanor case 36/2013 against Dr Abdullah Al-Nafeesi who allegedly issued statements detrimental to the national unity during a seminar held at the diwaniya of former MP Hussein Al-Dosari on Monday. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, MP Khalid Al-Shatti warned he would use all constitutional tools against HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, and First Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud if the concerned authorities fail to take legal action within 24 hours against Al-Nafeesi for the allegations he declared during the seminar, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
He insisted that Al-Nafeesi must be referred to the Public Prosecution as he had launched accusations against a group in the Kuwaiti society in a manner that can provoke chaos among the individuals of the society.
He stressed that such allegations can harm national unity and stability that all citizens seek particularly in the current political circumstances of the country.
He bid Al-Nafeesi to resort to the Kuwaiti judiciary and the concerned authorities of the country if he has information about any individual or component of the society.
Meanwhile, MP Abdulhameed Dashti says he intends to sue Al-Nafeesi and is studying the categories of legal cases to file against Al-Nafeesi, insisting that the latter is 'dangerous' and should be quarantined.
He bid lawmakers and the government represented by HH the Prime Minister and ministers of Interior, Information and Justice to study this matter in order to confront Al-Nafeesi and his attempts to provoke chaos in Kuwait.
