Umm Al Qaiwain, 15 Feb. 2011 (WAM) - His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm al-Qaiwain received today at the Ruler's Palace General His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
They discussed topics relating to services to the citizens and development projects in the UAE which are aimed at providing decent living standards to the citizens, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied during his visit to Umm al-Qaiwain by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative, Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable & Humanitarian Works, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Omer bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable & Humanitarian Works, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, and Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. Present were a number Sheikhs and senior officials. Sheikh Saud and Sheikh Mohammed toured the new Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Umm al-Qaiwain, which was built under orders of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the new 203-bed hospital which was built at an estimated cost of AED 550 million. The hospital is built on an area of 54,000 square meters with 1014 car parking spots. It has sections for dentistry, orthopedics, obstetrics, pediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, as well as sections for Dialysis, pharmacology, laboratory, CT-scan and emergency.
