Ankara, 28th Feb. 2012 (WAM) -- His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today visited the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk, founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
Sheikh Mohammed, who is on a state visit to Turkey, placed a wreath at the monumental tomb and wrote a note on the VIP book, underscoring the UAE's sincere resolve to develop strong bonds with Turkey that fulfill aspirations of #the two friendly countries and peoples. Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed upon arrival at the Mausoleum by Mehmet Simsek, Turkish Finance Minister, Mehmet Ali Uluta?, Deputy Governor of Ankara, and Vural Altay, Turkish Ambassador to UAE. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi toured the nearby museum which housesall sorts of artifacts and belongings of Ataturk and his life. Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Hamad Al Hur Al Suweidi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Finance Department.
