Abu Dhabi, 9th Dec. 2013 (WAM) -- The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today toured various areas of the island of Sir Bani Yas, location of the Ministerial Retreat yesterday and today.

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, other members of the Cabinet, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, and a number of officials accompanied Sheikh Mohammed.

During the tour, he inspected forestry plantations and the special reserve areas for animals and birds, such as houbara, which are being managed by staff based on the island.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pleasure at his tour and the briefing he had received on the tourist and heritage attractions of the island which, he said, was a 'dear part of the country.'
